Flinders University offers South Australia’s only undergraduate surveying program through a four-year double degree: Bachelor of Geospatial Information Systems & Bachelor of Surveying .

This industry-accredited program, recognised by the Surveyors Board of South Australia, equips students with practical and theoretical skills in cadastral, hydrographic, engineering surveying, GIS, GNSS, drones, laser scanning, and spatial data analysis.

With field-based learning, modern labs, and a compulsory 12-week industry practicum, graduates are prepared to enter training agreements for licensure and pursue roles in land development, infrastructure, environmental mapping, mining, and more.

As South Australia responds to a growing skills shortage—forecasting a need to more than double geospatial professionals over the next decade—Flinders’s program plays a strategic role in building the future workforce.
