ISCM
The Intergovernmental Committee on Surveying and Mapping, (ICSM) is a standing committee under ANZLIC – the Spatial Information Council – made up of senior government representatives from Australia and New Zealand.
It was formed in 1988 to coordinate national surveying, mapping, and charting activities. ICSM develops and promotes consistent standards for geodetic datums, cadastral frameworks, place naming, hydrography, tides, addressing, and more.
By providing national leadership, technical guidance, and collaboration across jurisdictions, ICSM helps maintain an accurate, accessible spatial infrastructure that supports economic, environmental, and community outcomes.
