The Surveyors Board SA

The-Surveyors-Board-SA

Established under the Survey Act 1992 and with roots dating back to 1882, the Surveyors Board of South Australia is the official regulatory and management committee for the surveying
profession in the state. Operating as the governing body of the Institution of Surveyors Australia South Australia Division, the Board oversees the licensing, training, and continued professional
development of surveyors working across cadastral, engineering, hydrographic, mining, and environmental fields. Comprising eight appointed and elected professionals—including licensed surveyors, educators, legal advisors, and the exofficio SurveyorGeneral—the Board ensures rigorous standards, ethical practice, and public confidence in land and boundary surveying. Through close partnership with government bodies and professional organisations, it works to safeguard accuracy, accountability, and innovation across South Australia’s built and natural landscapes.
